Brianna Gallant Post #1
I believe that this articles in a way relates to the article we read about self-confidence. Many people are encouraged to take steroids because they don't think they are good at sports or because they want to become better at the sport they are playing. If you have self-confidence you would be fine with the way you look or the way you play the sport. If someone is determined to become better they will try anything, even if it means putting their body in danger. Steroids have many side affects that can cause damage to your body and increase the risks of strokes, getting cancer and heart disease.. People think that steriods will improve the way they look, it will make them look better or stronger. What they don't know is that steroids also have many minor side affects that affect your looks like oily hair and purple or red spots on your body. I can understand why people would want to become better at a sport or look a little bit stronger, but what i don't understand is that they would put themselves in danger to do it.
