Steroids are also known as roids, juice, hype, weight trainers, gym candy, arnolds, stackers, and pumpers. Steriods can be in forms of pills, gels, creams, or can be injected. Steroids have become popular because they may improve endurance, strength, and muscle mass. However, research has not shown that steroids improve skill, agility, or athletic performance. They think steroids can improve their sports performance or the way they look, but actually it does the opposite. Some side effects include, hair loss, oily hair, swollen legs and feet. Steroids increase risk of developing heart disease, stroke, and some types of cancer.
